100k - cc306 good idea? ::need opinions quick::

okay - the lt1 has 100k on her even - shes been running in mint shape and im wanting to throw a cam in her in the spring

was planning on going with en LE2 heads and cam combo but its looking like that may be a bit out of my price range-

i have a deal on a CC306 cam but a couple questions-

1)is the mileage too high?
2)anything else need to be done with this cam?
(ive heard auto guys want a largeer stall but i have a m6-)
3)how happy are you with yours?
4)what else do you suggest i do when i do the swap this summer?

I put mine in at 100K...

also got a set of valvetrain components (valvesprings, new lifters, rockers etc)

dropped my et from 13.5 to 13.1 with no longtubes (from 102 to 108 )

Shame on me I know but, I'm still running he 2.73's with mine! Hopefully someday in the NEAR future I'll decide what route I wanna take, 3.73's or 9 inch rear and get off my butt and put whatever in. But the point is you CAN run on any gear.

The cc306 is a good cam. Keep in mind that it makes power at 4k+ and may surge under 2k, especially in a 350.

1)is the mileage too high?
- probably not, unless your engine has problems

2)anything else need to be done with this cam?
- 3.73 gears are a good idea to help with the surge and make it more streetable
- new springs, lifters, timing chain (if yours is stock)...

3)how happy are you with yours?
- very happy, a lot of top-end power, but as mentioned, lacking a bit under 4k

4)what else do you suggest i do when i do the swap this summer?
- get a good tune and then go see Mr. Dyno

Just my $.02, anyone else with any opinions plz chime in...
