10.6 At 129 Still Has More....
thanks everyone its holding together great and i think it will for a while. im running all the safety stuff with the nitrous and the tune is perfect .... i mean i could lean it out a little and adjust the timing then maybe blow up pretty quick but who knows????? i want to get the cage in and the drag bar get a good launch and go for bottom 10s then i will up the gas till she blows maybe high 9s we will see . thanks again !
hahahahahahahahah thats right thanks man ! run till she blows...it will run longer than some people think watch !
Nice times, I remember a few years back when I was running a stock bottomend Lt1, LE1 heads/cam (stock valves), 3.42's in the 10bolt and ran 10.80's@126mph on 150HP n2o everyone thought I was lying about the setup but it ate up the cam bearing not too long after that. Goodluck Later
Theres been a couple guys on here have got 10s from stock short block nitrous set ups, hell a couple have hit high 10s with gas and a cam, stock heads and short blocks. Look at cars like Fran96SS, runs 11.00s with bolt ons and gas, not hard to believe that a well set up heads and cam car would be capable of going mid low 10s. One of the LS1s that ran 9.6s had my buddies old h/c set ups, really old MTI H/C set up, only trapped 117 or so on motor, ran its *** off on the 250 shot and hooked on the back bumper

A stock bottomend LT1 won't take a 250shot for longer then a few seconds I'd bet. The factory 2 bolt maincaps will break for sure. Ask me how I know? Those LS1's come with 6 bolt mains and a stout crank so they can take more abuse but they are short lived also with that much power. Later
