well i installed the comp pro mag 1.6 rrs with isky springs and ported the heads..i then order an all motor and nitrous tune from bryan..we put it on the dyno and it made the exact same numbers that are in my sig...however on those runs a/f was 13.0 now it was between 13.5-13.8..so we called up bryan and he said he went a little conservative on the timing and eh needs to richen it up..the graph doesnt look choppy or anything so im wondering where do you think the problem could be?

 

also we were wondering if its possible he mixed the labels up on the two tunes..as we have not installed the nitrous tune yet

Maybe a rattle or tick causing knock retard, maybe from the RR's or exhaust rattle???

Maybe RR's aren't adjusted properly???

Seems pointless to me to pull/swap heads, but not a cam...?

Were the heads ported heavily or just cleaned up?

 

What knock module do you have? Also do you have a copy of the run in the form of a datamaster file? If so I would like to check it out.

 

ill see if i can get the datamaster on here, stock knock module and the timing was messing up the car badly so we had bryan send us a tune to basically delete the KM all together, he sent us a tune and also a nitrous tune, but we called him and he said he went conservative on the timing..so bascially im wondering if this all is boiling down to a timing issue

 

the heads were about as ported as they could be (take my word for it ) and when i say i cannot afford a cam..i mean..i literally cannot afford a cam, so all that none sense aside it still should be seeing plenty of more power

 

sounds to me like it will produce a lot more power especially in the higher rpms like a cam, somewhat, but still pass emissions and have perfectly fine street manners. Good idea to me especially with the larger roller rockers...

 

Odds are you did a sub-par port job and you didnt pick up any power.

but how would you explain no gains with the rockers?

 

It sounds like he really hogged them out by the way he explained it. Maybe he actually hurt his flow with them.
