Wonderings if 1.6 RRs will do anything hp wise on a stock lt1? Im thinking i need springs due to some valve float at 5500 rpm, and i may as well put some nice rockers on if im gonna be doin that.

 

Put some LT4 springs,locks and retainer's on with the 1.6's and you will notice the difference. It will be crisper and a little more power.

 

I put Comp Cams Pro Magnum 1.6 NSA rockers, guideplates, hardened pushrods and Crane 10308-1 valvesprings and picked up about 14 RWHP.

 

If your not planning on doing a cam in a while, you might want to consider 1.7 rrs. Just a suggestion.

 

That's the route I was going to go, but have decided to do heads/cam instead. I have the whole set of LT4 springs, retainers, locks and shims. These were take offs from a crate engine so they are basically "brand new". Send PM if you're interested in them.
