I"d say your best bed would be to goto a LT4 spring/lock/ retainer package through jason cromer along w/ some Comp Pro Mag's.. I ran that setup on my bolt on car w/ good result's.. can't beat the price of the LT4 stuff... think it's like 50 bux for the setup.. not sure though...
if you ever think there is a chance that you might put a cam in your car, don't go with lt4 springs, get better ones
the lt4 springs are barely good enough for the hotcam,
if you are gonna go through the trouble to put on springs put on some good ones and spend the $100

What do you mean by "getting your heads redone?". If you have your heads off, get them ported and polished, including valve pockets, etc.
Even if you just get larger rockers, you should get stronger springs. And as far as how strong, try to determine what size/profile cam is suited for you heads and driving style and go with a sping that best compliments that combo.
Bottom line: once the heads are off and going to be "cleaned up" you might as well spend the $$ to have them improved. JMHO
