1:6 roller rockers are they supposed to be loud
I have not heard the RR's on the Hotcam kit, but from my understanding they are the Self Aligning 1.6 type RR's. If that is the case, they are generally louder than the Non Self Aligning 1.6 RR's. If you didn't use guideplates, then you have the SA type.
You may want to adjust them with the engine at normal operating temps, with the engine running. I believe Shoebox has a nice writeup on how to do so.
How does the cam feel? Have you taken it out for a run yet?

They are much noisier than stock stamped rockers thats for sure, especially if you are using the stock valve covers. I got a set of LT4 composite valve covers after I installed the hc kit and it quited them down a good bit.
The 1.6 LT4 rockers I'm using have always been loud as hell. No matter how many times we've adjusted them, they have always ticked like crazy. Thicker valve covers helped a little bit, but you can still hear them.
