I see some of you are running the GMPP 1.6rr sa. Do some of your rocker arms sit on the retainer?. Some of mine do and some dont. Ive tried cranes 1.6rr sa also and they do the same thing. Are any of you have the same problem?. Im going to switch some pro mags with a slimmer arm and that she be ok I hope.

I had the GMPP Hot Cam rockers when I got my LE1 package and the shoulders rubbed badly. I switched to Pro Mag SA and haven't had a problem. You will be fine with those I'm sure. You just have to take out the valve cover webbing if you haven't already.

Not saying you shouldnt get them but be forwarned that this may happen to you too. I had the same thing happen on two seperate heads with those rockers. Id get some promags.

I went with NSA promags this time around because I used a more agressive cam.

Re: Which 1.6 Rockers are you guys using?
Are the 1.6 GMPP that ****ty of a rocker? i mean ****.. if the hotcam uses it.. and theres not much trouble with those.. i thought this would be a good rocker.. since i dont plan on camming this car... got other things to worry bout... I just want a I/H/E, and maybe a little juice at the track... would the 1.6s suit me good? Even if they rub... is it that bad of a thing? I thought most rockers do though?
Re: Which 1.6 Rockers are you guys using?
Nothing shoud EVER be allowed to rub in that area of a valvetrain(major problem waiting to happen with all the additional harmonics and stress it could cause on parts)........And In my opinion , even for your described useage, I would return what you got for the 7/16 size comp promags(They're a much stronger and better designed rocker) I would also spend the 25 bucks and pick up the larger ARP 7/16 studs to go with them....small price to pay for a ton more strength, but thats just me......good luck with it......
