1.6 or 1.7 rr??

im thinking of getting le3 heads/cam next year along with 396 crankshaft and pistons. would i be better off with 1.6 rr or 1.7 rr? and i heard i would need bigger valve covers... so if i did i would have to move the alternator right? and where would i be able to buy valve covers that could fit the 1.6 or 1.7 rr?and would those spark plug wires that fit on top of the valve covers work on the aftermarket valve covers?
thanks

p.s. this is for my 95 z

Well, if you are getttin the LE3 heads and cam, then that cam is designed to work with specific rocker ratio, prolly 1.6 and when you talk to Lloyd, he will give you all the details. You dont need new valve covers when you get 1.6 rockers. Sometimes you need to clearance the stock covers, but not always, and if you want new covers, LT4 valve covers are good replacements and give you plenty of room for new rockers and there is no need to move your alternator.
