1 or 2 cut outs with LTs?
I will be going to JH LTs with my new motor. 355 or 383, haven't decided yet. Will have all the goodies blah blah.
Anyway, I am just curious as to whether or not running 2 cut outs would do more harm than good.

Are your LT's going to go into a y-pipe or are you doing true dual exhaust? I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Do you mean is it better to have a cut-out after each header or one after the Y-pipe before the muffler? If this is what your asking it kinda depends what you want the cut-outs for really. If you plan on getting the powerplate ones that have a switch and motor that opens/closes the cut outs to **** with people on the street(at a stop light and some punk *** ricer is revving his **** to high hell), then I would put one after each header for maximum volume But if you want one for performance I would put it after the y-pipe where the 2 pipes become one, that way you have a little back pressure in the system to still give you some low end torque. Just my $.02

I was just curious to see if 2 with the LTs and built motor would do any better than 1. I always have it uncapped so I would have the 2 uncapped 24/7 as well

a waste of time effort money?
on my heads and camed motor
gained 14rwhp and 18rwtq uncapped with my 2 cutouts
thats alot...
did a TB bypass and put on a BBK 58mm TB gained like 11rwhp for what $320?
i'm pretty sure its alot of other mods ppl buy for way more then a cutouts cost that picks up less power also.
for as cheap and simple a cutout is for the power gain... its def. worth it
but i wouldnt recommend riding around with them open all the time

I run two. They are in the y-pipe right behind the header collector. Wheather or not you need one or two will depend on your HP level and exhaust design. I have 3" collectors, 3" Y-pipe and a 3" intermediate pipe. Basically I am reducing the two 3" collector volume down to one 3" intermediate pipe if I do not use the cutouts. This would be a huge restriction since I am looking at 700+ HP on the spray.
If you are running somthing like the mufflex 4" exhaust, or have a mild 383, then one cut-out may be all you need.
