02 sensor wires
02 sensor wires
My right side oxygen sensor wires burned a while back so I had a guy replace both o2 sensors and he was supposed to rewire that side. Well i guess he just ended up splicing the wires. I still had a SES light after this but i thought it was from something else. He couldnt scan it because he didn't understand the 95 ob1 -ob2 connector deal. So i had to make a trip to someone's house who had a cable so we could scan and upload my new tune. Anyways i'm throwing a check engine for that o2 sensor and i've now read that you can't splice wires like that. So is it possible to buy the wires that come from the pcm and have a connector on the end or is it much trouble to rewire things from the pcm?
Also what are the o2 sensors supposed to be reading? My left side on start up would be at like 0-4 and then would jump up to 850 and then back to 0-4.

call one of these guys and they can most likely get you a new pigtail connector coming from the pcm

What is the EXACT code you got for the O2 sensor?
On cold start, the O2 sensors should be reading about 450mV. With an AIR pump, as the O2 sensors start to heat up, the voltage should drop to 10mV or less. That will tell the PCM the sensors are warmed up and working. Then it goes into closed loop, and the voltage should be swinging rapidly (10 times per second) between 0xx - 9xx mV's.
