02 bung/ oil pan leak

Hey.
I just put in an oil pan from a guy that lives near me. I just went ahead and bought it for $30, stuck it on and filled it with oil. Now it leaks, and at first I thought it was from the bolts, but not I am almost positive that it is coming from two tiny pin holes in the side. I'm not sure if they are holes or not, but it looks like there are tiny ones in two little dents, and thats where it seems to be coming from. I would say somthing to the guy, but it was kinda of a buyer beware thing. He didn't know. Anyway, it was a lot of work to get that on, and I really don't want to take it off and put it back on. Can I get that welded on the car with oil in it? If not, then is there somthing that I could use to stick on that to stop it up?

My other question is about my 02 bung on the driver side. I have JBA stainless headers. The threads are messed up on it and I cannot get the sensor to thread. The exhaust shop told me that it would be about $50 to get it cut out and a new one welded in. I don't want to spend the money on this. Is there anyway around it?

I dont know if I would weld it on the car with oil in it. What something like JB weld?

As far as the O2 bung what about drilling it and tapping it?

I called the muffler shop around here and I jsut about got in a fight with this guy. He kept telling me that he could try to tap it out but it won't work. He said 02's are metric. I tapped it out with I think it was 5/8-16 but it didn't work. Then I asked if he could cover that bung up if it didn't tap out and weld in a new bung in the y pipe. It would be much cheaper and easier I would think. He told me that the 02 had to be in the exact same place as stock. I think that as long as the sensor will reach it, it doesn't matter. Its the same exhaust going through it, just about 5 inches farther back. And if you get LT headers, you have to buy extensions for it. That must work. I am going to try to get ahold of another shop around here right now actually. Thanks

The O2 doesnt have to be in the same exact place as stock...with LT's for example thats impossible.

Go somewhere else.
