Angry 0 for 2 on Pass. side manifold bolts!!

I'm in the middle of a head/cam swap and I'm working on getting the passanger side manifold off. The drivers side was cake, just PB blasted it the night before and the bolts came right out. I soaked the passanger side last night, went to remove the 2nd from the front and SNAP . Got under the car, tried the 3rd from the rear--started out good and SNAP . I'm going to soak the other 4 again and hope my "luck" improves.

Assuming these are breaking flush/in the head, can someone tell me the best way to get the bolts out after I remove the head? I've read that "easy outs" can also break. If you have any "tricks" on how to use them, please let me know. Thanks

Ok, finally got the passanger side manifold off--major PITA. As it turns out 1 bold is sticking out a good bit (the head just snapped off), the other bolt only has 1+ threads showing. For the first bolt, instead of using vise grips, isn't there something I can thread on the bolt to help back it out? Not sure what to do about the second one. Any help would be appreciated....

You can spot-weld a nut to the top of the bolt and try to use that to back it out.

What is it about cold weather and snapping bolts? The only bolts I've ever broken down here in sunny, warm Florida were a couple of head bolts on a friend's near 30 year old 240Z (fortunately I was taking them out). It spent many years in Michigan before his dad brought it down here and gave it to him.
