*immediate help needed* vacuum leak
*immediate help needed* vacuum leak
I just finished with my long tube install about a week ago and haven't blocked off me EGR yet and now have a bad vacuum leak. On the drivers side I have one black tube that is sucking and one black tube that is blowing. What exactly do I do with these?
Any immediate help would be appreciated!

Need more info on what these black tubes connect to? If your EGR is not programmed out, you will have a vacuum leak if you don't install block-off plate. There is also a vacuum line from the intake manifold to the EGR valve. This might be one of the "black lines" that you're talking about that is sucking. You need to cap off this line or remove it and cap off the manifold.
On the drivers side of what? The EGR riser pipe is on the passenger side, along with an AIR supply line. There is only an AIR supply line on the drivers side. There is a small vacuum line on the drivers side of the intake, that normally connects to the EGR solenoid on the back/drivers side corner of the intake. That's as simple as putting a vacuum cap over the nipple on the intake manifold.
Are you saying you did not block the EGR riser tube from the #8 exhaust runner? All it takes is a small piece of metal, like from a soda can, sandwiched between the riser tube flange and the back of the intake. Or did you remove the EGR valve and leave that hole open.... yes that would be a major vacuum leak.
