put it in the bank and let the interest build, then by the time you retire you will be pretty rich.

You could build a bullet proof motor and drivetrain for 15k. Buy an assembled 383 longblock with ported heads from cmotorsports (lt1), buy a rearend etc... and invest what's leftover. You'll have PLENTY of car then.

buy your own house, dont live at someone elses for free.

get a part time job that you can enjoy for spending money and so that the IRS sees you actually pay some taxes etc.

put $2000 a year into a Roth IRA (thats only $167 a month) and you will have $1,000,000 when you retire thanks to the magic of compounding interest.

but dont save everything........enjoy the rest of the money.......cause you might get hit by a truck next week for all you know, then you never would hav enjoyed it.

I'd buy a duplex. Live in one side and rent out the other. Make lots of money, fast.

I have two of them now valued at 3/4 of a million bucks together. My 3rd one will put me in a position to live for free.

Now is your chance to make it big, keep the car you have.
Think how great your existing car would look parked in front of your $350,000 duplex, with a tennant paying most of the mortgage for you. *CHA-CHING*

REALLY good advice you guys, THANKS ... I will check into getting a house {I like the duplex idea} although housing in California is exspensive, to say the least. I was a stockbroker for a few years a while back {well,'86 thru '88} so I'm pretty up on the power of investing. The problem with me and the stock market is when I get involved I always speculate and lose ;(... Having a fast car again just sounds fun, but then I can have a fast car by building my Trans Am a little at a time. I've got a complete narrowed 9" {Currie} so I can just buy axles and a housing for the Firebird. I've got a turbo 400 {Art Carr} thats been sitting for years, I will have it rebuilt. Then I will built the motor that I have. Or I also have a 415 small block {thats been sitting for years, is it still good? I will ask this in a post} I could always put it in the Firebird. 499 foot pounds @ 4000 & 438 Horse Power @ 5250 on Kenny Duttwielers dyno {with out the nitrous hooked up Yeah, thats it, THANKS guys, I believe that you've helped me to realize that this money should be saved first and spent on a car second.... Thanks again, Bill...

The wise thing is to save most of it.

For that much per month though, it would easily take care of a C6 monthly payment.

That bad boy is going to be sweet. 400 hp straight from the factory, and the handling to go with it.

welp

if u wanna spend it so much...

get a 383/396 kit, and stroke that sucker, get a racing tranny (like th400 or something, or a suped up m6) and 4.10s if u get m6, if u get a forged kit, spray the sucker with a 250-300 shot

a 12 bolt would help too :P

that can always be downpayment for a c6 tho

you can only put in 3000 dollars a year into a ROTH ira so do that untill your 59 and a half years old and be a millionaire. plus you could always work part-time and use that money to live on and pay for a house or whatever adn you still have the 2200 a month to pay for all the cool toys.

He said he was in the Vietnam war. That would put him in his early fifties already. Not anough time for an IRA to mature.

Stick with realestate. you cannot lose, it is *always* appreciating assuming it is in a good location and well maintained. Most modern houses are pretty much maintenance free, anyway.

Go there enough said your car will scream. Then go get some suspension from bmrfabrication.com. Or you could get a head cam package from combinationmotorsports.com also need to upgrade your rearend to handle the hp and tq. Just search. Lt's are a must and ovc wires hooker catback. or go one other route set your car up for nitrous

...excellent ideas, Thank You... ... but since I don't have to worry about smog couldn't I get more power for the money in a set-up from someone other than LPE? There packages are awsome, but how about a crate engine and install it myself??? Thanks, Bill...

Cool

I would take $20,000 of this and buy stock in Homestake mining company.(Gold is over $400 an ounce I think right now,so you know where the economy is headed.(Remember the 80's)?When it peaks, buy a house for cash then. Since you've been a stock broker, you may have a handle on what's going on right now,I dunno.Anyway, invest in the future.Good luck.My02

...oh my God, Homestake Minning! I lost $6 grand in an hour once on put options with that stock! In fact I'm sure that I will 'play' options with a little bit of the money. I'd forgotten about H.M, thats right I could buy calls & puts and then as long as the stock moves a lot either way, I make money..... Bill

p.s.... really, that was the biggest lose that I've ever had on a trade.... ;(
