I just found out a few days ago that my car actually already has a LT4 knock sensor. I already have a set of nitto 555r drags on the way but that isnt included in the 2500. I already have a hurst short shifter also. I also have a y pipe. So this list is almost complete and i havent spent a dime of the money yet I would like to get some 4.11 gears though. I heard they make a world of difference in the way the car feels. Aluminum driveshaft? Is there any performance gain from this? Also I have heard that the throttle bodys dont really add and hp until you get some higher numbers (550+ if not more) but then again I may be wrong. I would really like to get a tune. Do you have to go with a mail order chip or can we go to a dyno and get a custom one burnt for a reasonable price?

 

4340 forged internals (rods,pistons,crank,etc) w/ all new bearings etc $1100
250-350shot $500 (make sure and get a 15-20lb bottle)
Then go spend the last $900 on a used Ford 9" w/ 4.10's like at a swap meet or ebay or something. Oh, and start saving for a new clutch.

 

Well here are the options I have found already. I plan to do all the installs myself.

1. 383 or 396 stroker with 4.11 gears and maybe a small shot of n20.

2. Heads w/cam with gears.

3. Used vortech supercharger system with intercooler and gears.

4. Cam, n20, and some suspension stuff.

If there are any other suggestions it would be appreciated. I plan to be on the street more than at the track. Spinning isnt one of by big worries as long as I have to power to run the other car down.
