I Paid $300 when I got a tune up on my car. Check this out though, they
removed 1 champion, 2 Ac delco, 1 unknown, and (4) bosch. THe champion
came out the passengers side. This will be one thing you have to look out for because you want to make sure they remove all of the plugs and not leave some behind

Do it yourself, save the money. I did it with my friend and we had the Taylor OTVC kit, so I had to cut and crimp each wire. All we removed for the wires was the alternator. It saved me money and that's what matters. It's a good way for you to get acquainted with your car as well.

i would do it yourself. if you REALLY cannot get to a plug or two, take it to a garage to have the one or two done for you. Id say you could manage to do it yourself. With some weird contortions of your arms, and the correct sockets/swivels/extensions, you would be surprised how easy the "Hard" plugs come out.

356 RWHP with just a lid and LTs? I realize that a 2002 LS1 would have over 300, but where did the rest come from?

thx.

Re: $150 to change plugs/wires??? is that right?

But seriously folks: Used to be when someone, Lt1 or LS1 quoted over 350 RWHP with a just a CAI or LID with Lts that more than one person would want to know how it was achieved.

Now days it's more like: "gee, how did you get your plugs done so cheaply?"

So I ask again: How did you get 356 RWHP out of a lid and lts?

Why? Because I WANT more HP too.

You're right, Bubba... I'd like to know that, too. How did you get 356 RWHP from such few mods?

If I am not mistaken, the chiltons labor manual (what shops use to estimate how long a job is so they can price it) call for something like 8-10 hours to replace plugs and wires. Multiply that by a shops labor rate and you can see how it can be real expensive.

On a side note....

Pulling the engine out.....

4 hours according to the labor manual!!

Don't seem right, does it!

wow, i thought the 150 was out of hand until i read the horror of 6-700 dollars. me and my brother managed to change them in like an hour. i'd say that you may as well do the coil at the same time.

just wait until you try to get to the front most passenger plug wire. I'm telling you, come back here and let me know how much fun it is. that was a 2 beer job. I still have a scar on my finger from that sucker
