There you go that would work too . I agree , If you need a guage to tell you when a computer thinks its time to change the oil . I feel sorry for your motor .

i was having the same problem and i went through my manual as well the tapping gas **** dont work and the light is nothing to worry about as long as you dont go oover your mileage... the manual says it automatically comes on during every start and stays on for 60 secs.... of it stays on after that ... THEN it means you have to change your oil... its a new sensor that pontiac decided to use... it gets on my nerves but it nothing to worry about unless it stays on...
