Why is my car blowing the eng ctrl fuse?
Why is my car blowing the eng ctrl fuse?
my car is blowing the 15 amp eng ctrl fuse everytime it gets power to it. this is causing numerous SES codes, and the trans not to shift. it is electrical related, not trans. i think it is a wire shorting out, but where do i begin? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
Re: Why is my car blowing the eng ctrl fuse?
you need to find out what exactly is on that ckt, and unplug every thing and put the fuse in. see if it blows with everything unplugged from the components. if it still blows the fuse then its in the wire somewhere. if not, plug things back in one at a time makein sure after ea. component that the fuse is sitll good.
eng. cntrl sounds like a pcm fuse. Id try unplugging the pcm conn.s and see what happens. I can pos. get you a wiring schematic of that ckt tomorrow from work. hopefully I'll remember.
