Question Who will win this race?

I have a fully stock 99 Z. There is a guy in town with a 2001 Mustang GT. From what i hear he has completely straight pipes(no cats etc.), functional air hood, and a mini-mac blower, or something like that. ive never heard of mini-mac.
i plan on gettin a lid and catback-and electric cut out.
Who will win in the quarter?

The one thing about mustangs is they don't react to mods that well, other than a blower (the 4.6L that is). The only big thing you can bolt on for adders is gears or LT's (which aren't worth it on this car). I had a 99 GT with cold air, proted mass air, bigger throttle body, flows, blah blah blah. I never felt much of an increse until i got gears. I always got smoked by LS1's, so then i got smart and baught an f-body. Your 99 will run him, but then again it is a driver situation. All's I can say is practice and smoke his groupy mustang ****.

Well i would say run him. I ran a 2001 GT with Saleen Blower on it. He had gears, Nittos and ice on the blower before he ran me twice. I did beat him twice badly on the track. He was running 13.5 at 105mph. I think the best he did was 13.3 at the same traps. I never saw him pass the 105 traps. My car with just a Catback and LID got me 109.66mph and 13.1 (with stock 16inch wheels) which is way faster than a Saleen 281SC.

My Z has the short throw hurst. I am pretty good at shifting sticks, ive been driving them since i was seven. I just have a question about dragging. I have raced several cars that thought they could beat me, and i of course wasted them, but they were no competitition. When i am drag racing, do I turn the ASR off? and if i do, do i just keep in the clutch and keep the rpm's up about 2500? i am scared i will do too much spinning. how do i avoid spinning without using ASR, because ASR probably evens out if you spin too much, or it just kicks in and slows you down a bit, but your moving and not spinning.

Just need some tips!

Cut off the asr, it will give you bog from hell, launch at about 1500 or 2000 no higher to prevent wheel spin. Get after it for a little and then floor it, then shift it before red line, stay away from the rev-limiter.

Cool

I have a 2002 Z and I raced a friend with a 2001 GT.
I also had a friend in the car that wieghed about 250.
On top of that I smoked my tires and had to grab 2nd to early.
I am sure I don't need to tell you that I still smoke hiked him. Just had to wait until 3rd gear to pass.
