Wheel well rubbing

hey I lowered my TA down a little and have 315's in the back, now on hard turns the inside of the wheel rubs against the wheel well, the tire is sooo close to the wheel well, can barely put my finger in the space.
Question is: Instead of just trying to beat the wheel well in for hours to move it a half inch, wouldnt it be better to cut the wheel well, has anyone else done this?

I would try beating it in first, depending on where it rubs at. On the middle/inside section, the edges of the wheel well will bend back, but there is metal underneath running perpendicular to the metal you see that keeps it from being bent more than an inch from the edge. You can beat above and below that point, but that line won't move. On the front/inside section you can hammer it quite a bit and make a lot of space. I hope this makes sense.

Does it rub on both sides? You might want to look into an adjustable Panhard Rod to center the rear.

I've heard of people "rolling" the wheel wells back with a baseball bat or beating them back. I've never seen it done and would be a little leery of pounding on my sheetmetal. Won't it look like crap or are there techniques for making it look OK?
