Ive seen lots of time these kind of numbers come up to have others say thats still alright.Granted a little low and it is possible that the gauge is screwwed up being you have such low miles.Unless you've been abusing it the whole time. Pretty sure since you are getting a increase in pressure from idle to wot that the sender is working.

worse shape then me...

I have posts on these concerns. Man, I do know mine will increase PSI with WOT to at least 60. And I spent time checking this out on the hiway around 2000 RPM I am steady at 44-45psi. AND I NEVER DROPPED TO 20 even at warmed IDLE.

BUT............am I doomed here, JEEZ and OIL PUMP is like impossible to install, like $ 700.00 from what GM tells me.

SOunds like BOTH of our PSI's are way too low.

**** the oil pressure increasing from idle to operating or wot means the pumps still workin too,as far as the guage also I mean its giving you differnences in pressures?.But you know about the 98 oil pump thing...So maybe its starting to get fatigued? givin lower pressures.May be time to change it before **** happens let us know the codes you get sorry bud

Your wife could run over an piece of crap in the road and put holes in your oil pan and transmission then bang up and bend everything else on the passenger side under carriage. Never ask what else can go wrong. ... Unless you really want to find out.

Let me get this right. You just changed your oil pump. Now it's reading low. You might have mentioned that in your first post. I'd say to consult the specifications of the pump. It might be rated at a lower pressure than the stock pump.

High volume and high pressure are two very different things.
