What's the weakest link to turn 6500?

I've been told rod bolts,head bolts,timing chain,etc.I can't buy them all at once.I have a 6.0L truck engine with new valvetrain and I'm gonna shoot 200 no2.
What do you think?

actually the stock components will handle 6500rpm, many folks are pushing a little more than that, but it is living dangerously.
I would change the rod bolts and the timing chain.

Rod bolts seems to be #1 even though the owner of ARP told me Fri. he had never heard that.He said mains and head bolts.

I have personally never seen the mains or stock head bolts be an issue when spooling past 6500rpm.

I have however seen the stock rod bolts let go and the carnage caused when that happens.

6500rpm should be fine for the stock rod bolts, but you may want to change them anyway. 7000rpm often is pushing it (especially for the pre 01 engines), and an accidental overrev could spell disaster.

Timing chain couldn't hurt either.

Get an LS2 chain for $40 if you're going to change it. There I saved you some cash.

This is a pretty good idea. The LS2 chains are setup to take 6500rpm over and over again from the factory, and they don't cost very much.

Just call or visit the website of a sponsor like Texas speed or the Ws6 store and its listed as an Ls2 timing chain. No need to change sprockets either.
