I am gonna grab some 3.73's and a Torque converter I decided. But later on, I got a project 86 Formula and a 350 with turbo trans I'm about to begin on.

 

Yea I have to agree with everyone else. I ran a 13.5 completly stock with a 2.2 60 footer and I stopped accelerating about 200 feet early (thought T-top was going to fly off... )

I would worry about traction before getting a better stall. Try some tires, some lower control arms, torque arm etc etc. Thats the key to these cars.
