What's a good price to pay for welding?

I've been thinking about getting some SFC's but I see that the bolt-ons are much more expensive than the weld-on ones.

I don't have a welder or know anybody that does so what's a good price to expect to pay for a shop to do the work?

if you do all the prep work yourself, clean off any undercoating on the frame pieces and maybe remove some of the paint off the sfcs.

than i would say $100-$150

go around and talk to some small time shops and see if they will do it "under the table" after hours and if you can help, that way you can keep an eye on how it is done, so it's done right

I paid $60 for both BMR subframes and LCA brackets. I ended up have to get it done at a small garage back home where they knew me... no "speed" shops around here and no one else wanted to touch it.
