What's the best Radical Cam that is also good for spray?

Ok, well I figured i'd ask in a seperate thread.

What is a good radical cam that's gonna put down big numbers N/A, and is also good for spray?

At first whatever cam I get will be on stock heads until I have the money to get my heads PP. Then after the heads will come the nitrous! So what do you guys suggest?

Thanks guys!

Well, you know what I mean. What's been proven to put down big #'s N/A, and also works good with spray?

just about every cam out there..

just get it on a 114 LS

People are buying these t1, hammer, thunder cams like crazy when all they are, are extreme energy cams and lunati cams.

Comp has a lobe listing of like 20 lobes, they just picked 2 lobe #'s and stamped their name on it. nothing was specialy ground for anyone. some of the guys have gone as far as to "change" their advertised specs to make it seem that they arent off the shelf lobes.

I can get you a comp extreme cam with the low lift extreme, high lift extreme, and extreme-r lobes or even a combo of 2 of the 3. One of the more popular cams out there use a regular high lift extreme lobe and an extreme-r lobe.
$399.99 for any of the off the shelf comp grinds and $417.99 for any of the custom comp grinds. ill pick you out a cam if you are seriously looking for one

Yes, I am seriously looking for one but not for a few months. I just got a new clutch, and the next thing i'm going for is full exhaust. LT's, O/R Y with cutouts, and catback. Then i'll be looking to do the cam. And like I said, definately want a cam that's gonna lay down high numbers on the dyno and perform at the track N/A and also be good for spray, cause after the cam, gonna save and get the heads done, and then going to add the spray. I know it's going to take a little while for everything, so that's why i'm gonna go one step at a time.

Also, I don't mind radiacal, and I love the sound of lumpy idles, so that's not a problem!!! But I don't want something that's going to break often, cause it is my only car. One cam I was takin a look at, was the comp cam 224/224 .581 112, they say it will make 400 rwhp with just bolt ons and stock heads, so I can imagine what it will do on PP heads. But I don't know if it would be good for spray, cause i've heard the split duration cams are best for n2o.

I don't know, those are the specs comp cams gives, and one guy over on ls1tech.com said he's got that cam in there on stock heads w/bolt ons and dynoed 399 rwhp. So would this be a good cam to get for good N/A #'s and spray? Or will it not do good with spray? Or is there a better one?

For nitrous your going to want a cam with a split duration. I've seen some impressive numbers out of the hotcam with nitrous.
