What is this part? Some kind of alternator bracket or what?

I got a few sets of these awhile ago, and was cleaning out the garage, i know they are alternator brackets for an LS1, but whats special about them? i got them off a buddy who did lots of stuff with LS1s and when he sold the car and stopped working on them he gave me what he had. They are laser CNC'd, i believe mild steel, i painted them primer when i got them to protect them.

Can anyone tell me about them or tell me what they're worth? I can't find anything like them anywhere.

Not 100% sure, but it looks like some alternator relocation brackets.

They're designed to move the alternator to the passenger side, at the top of the cylinder head - where the EGR valve goes on the early cars. They're a hot item for the turbo crowd. Problem is, I can't tell if it's for the stock alternator or the more common truck alternator.

You will also need to extend the crap out of the alternator harness, i do like the idea of a higher alternator though.

Would be a cool way to add a second alternator for those of us swapping these motors into offroad vehicles. ie: Onboard welder in my case!
