Get you some 3.73 gears!! I dont have them yet, but everyone seams to love them and its one of the first things im doing when I get home. You wont gain any hp from this but it will sure fell like it.

Headers are great for gaining some hp if your looking to spend a little more $.

What type of exaust setup are you running? Looking at you signature it looks like your stock.

Im sure you will get a few other suggestions, what's next for you really depends on how much $ you are looking to spend. Put a figure in a reply post if you really want some ideas. Good luck!

Exhaust lid,I gotta get one of those
You have exhaust, lid and Holley filter right? I'd say get the FTRA just b/c I felt a big difference when I put mine on the Z.Especially mid range & top end gains.
Yeah gears"It will sure feel like it" as in you will get better use/acceleration out of the hp/tq. you already have.

I do have exhaust, I didnt update the sig yet. I have a dynomouth system, (dynomax racing bullet with a fabed y pipe and new tips.) What kind of gears does my car have stock? I am looking to spend less than 500. That includes installation if needed. I cant get headers then, and I dont think i can get nitrous either. Whats left

Stock gears are 3.42s for M6's. As far as a mod that would go with your requirements, sounds like you might want to go with gears and a cutout. Cutouts I hear are good for 7-10 rwhp when uncapped. Other than that, there's always weight reduction

This cutout, how do i gain hp if II already have exhaust? How much is a cutout, can I install it myself? Can i install the gears myself too? The reason is becuase my friend has a 5.0 and for some reason he thinks he will beat me. Alot of respect is wagered upon the outcome of this race. He has full exhaust off-road pipe, filter CAI intake pulleys. He said he got something else and he won't tell me what.

If you have to ask if you can install the gears yourself then "No". Best left to the pros',if you havnt dealt with before.

The cut-out is a cheap mod, like $35 in parts maybe $45 install. And it will get you a little more flow than going thru your new exhaust.Wide open,Y section of pipe with a capped end that you can remove to let exhaust out before muffler. They make a cut-out that has an electric opener(the best),if you dont want to get under car everytime you want to run wide open.you can open from driver seat whenever you want.

I still think you need the Fast Toys Ram Air kit allnet. This is something you can do yourself. It come with detailed instructions, and is easy afternoon project with pretty substantial gains. It is your next mod,it goes hand&hand with the mods you have done already.
Get the Fast toys ram air kit and a QTP electric cutout w/ flow tech that will be around $340 in parts leaving $140 extra for a professional install of the cutout(welding required) and doubt it'll more than $50 to get the cutout welded in.

About the race with the 5.0,your car will whip its a$$ no problem.Just dont miss a shift and you'll smoke that stang like he's riding a bike Especially if you get this stuff done before the race He THINKS yeah hand him his a$$ on a platter today
