I'll give my .02.

You don't really need to do anything to beat a C5 in a LS Camaro. With a ravin muffler (POS that was on when I bought the car) on stock pipes and an air lid I took an 02 C5 by 2 lengths in my 00 SS M6. On stock tires even. No psycho driving just good hard driving and shifting.

On the Vert subject. They flat weigh more which means you'll have to produce more power/torque to move them as quickly as the other models. Someone w/the same mods and non-vert would be faster.

And Corvettes are not that light. FRCs run 3150-3200 and they are the lightest model.
where do u go to get your car weighed? also what does FRC mean? thanks

98 Z28 $8000
Heads Cam Package $3000

Look on old guys face in Vette when he realizes his $45,000 car just got embarressed... Priceless.

There are some things mods cant bring, theyre called approving wives; for everything else theres burning rubber.

FRCs are the stripper package, no options or the least options available.

They were both weighed at a local grainery. They were both totally stock with 1/4 tank indicated on the gas guage.

Now the Formula has been weighed at 6 different race tracks an the grain scales are pretty accuract in comparison.

the vettes out here on the same scales weigh less than I do..

I agree with whoever said LS1 = LS1. Right after I bought my c5 me and my friend had to race (2000 SS), both are M6 and we couldn't win or lose to each to save our lives.

Is there that big of a difference between a 99-00 ls1 then their is witha 01-02 ls1? from what i have read the 01-02 have the ls6 intake manifold , freer(sp) flowing exhuast manifolds, and rr's. however since i plan on putting hooker Lts on, the day after i get it and eventually buying a ls6 or lsx intake do those differences really matter? i have 2 friends with ls1s , one has a 2000 dynoed at 305 rwhp stock m6, and the other has 2001 dynoed at 320 rwhp stock m6, besides the things i listed are there any other differences? i really would like to find a 2001 w/ out a warranty on it b/c when i do internal mods that will for sure void any warranty. also is the typical warranty on 2002s 3year/36k miles? thanks
