What to do???
Im sure you can find someone on this board with a programmer who is willing to meet up with you in your area and reprogram your limiter. Id give em some cash for their troubles which is alot cheaper than buying your own programmer.

If so would you be willing to meet up with me and help a fellow out???
- You can only use HPP's on one car at a time, doesn't matter which feature subset you decide to use. It's useless to more than one person.
- LS1-Edit (non-tuner version) is VIN locked. Useless to more than one person, and even more of a hassle to migrate to a different VIN.
- LS1-Edit (Tuner version) is not VIN locked, but you need to visit a shop shich owns it.
- Not sure about the Diablo, but I would think from a business perspective that they'd lock to a VIN as well.
- I've heard that TunerCat would not be locked to a VIN, but last I read it was still in beta.
- Reload via TechII.
Those are the only procedures I'm aware of to do this via the PCM. IF you don't need the speedo, perhaps you can disconnect the VSS plug on the tranny

When the HPP3 modifies your PCM, it supposedly copies the stock tables, which it has modified, back to itself. There is a feature to return completely to stock, at which point it reverts your PCM back to stock and unlocks the HPP3 to be used with another vehicle. On a side note, there seems to be some discussion on whether or not a stock PCM is reverted completely back to stock with this method. Seems to me I read a post on the LS1-Edit mailing list that someone had a returned to stock PCM (from HPP3), dynoed it, then flashed over it with dealer code, and picked up power. If only one person can use the HPP3 at a time, you're effectively buying the unit if you want to use the features long-term.
LS1-Edit (non-tuner version) is licensed per VIN. Don't quote me on this since I don't own it, but I believe they charge a fee of $150 to add a second VIN, plus a $50 handling fee. So, for that $200 you get the opportunity to share a friend's version of LS1-Edit for use specifically on your car as well as theirs. The original purchaser needs to make the order. You need to arrange sharing the single interface cable and laptop with that friend. While that $200 will allow you to do anything you want in LS1-Edit, it may not be convenient for you to regularly swap equipment with your friend.
I sold the HPP3 for my '95TA for $150 back in '98. The new owner didn't have any problems with the unit, even if it did leave some sort of 'residue' on the stock PCM. He's using LT1-Edit now, and may have sold the HPP3 again.

Well thanks for everyones help. It looks like I'm either stuck with it or I will have to buy a programmer. If anyone knows the cheapest place to get one let me know, I appreciate it!
