What are the difference between the SS and Z28?
No difference... Just spoiler, hood, wheels, badging. SLP offers all of the essentials but youll have to give them your VIN... your SS VIN... So youd have to go aftermarket to make it an SS clone. If you really want an SS... WAIT!! You might find a low mile M6 SS for a reasonable amount and can trade your Z for one. Just have patience my friend. Good luck with what youre going to do!
just do the mods you think the car needs. leave the z28 badges. there is NOTHING wrong with owning a z. if you want an ss, buy one. i looked for a year before i found mine. don't pretend to have something you don't. expecailly considering there really isn't that great a difference between the two. be happy with your z. dont' rebadge it. you'll look pretty foolish when people figure it out
.
do a search for this topic. it has been rehashed a gabillion times in the last year alone. good luck with your car

rebadging = bad

z28 was in an accident, getting an SS hood. Is the air cleaner element the same for z28 an SS? Need to get new air cleaner, want a K @ N. Will get SS airbox at a later time. Don't want to get K @ N now and have to get a different one later.

I would go as far as 1000 miles to get a resonable priced one, but the ones I find at reasonable prices are mostly in dallas texas, and I live in L.A California. After checking mapquest on driving directions, it turns out it's over a 24 hour drive.
