......I was doing my cam swap today on my Ls1 and I got the old cam out and I was getting the new cam ready to go in........and I hear this clink clink.........so I stoped for a minute..looked around and said..."please dont let that be what I think it is"......well it was .....the intake lifter for the number 8cyl had slipped off of the magnet and out of it's little crap nylon holder and made its way down to the oil pan....

well....needless to say I now have to take the intake,head, and the oil pan off of that craptastic Ls1 and do ten times the work that I wanted to.....I AM NOT HAPPY......I will be out driving the Lt1 to take away some of my anger...

 

ya sorry man that really sucks, how long was the old cam out before it happened?

 

...no less then 5 min.............I had a pen magnet on it so I don't understand why it fell off............


I guess now that I will have the heads off I can take them and have them ported....or maybe I will just rebuild the whole damn thing...
