Went to the track tonight. (9/10/03)

Not sure what's in my sig. so here is a complete list of what's done to the car.

Performance:

SLP CAI
SLP Flow Booster (Air Foil)
SLP AFPR
SLP and Yank 2800 stall torque converter
Flowmaster American Thunder Cat Back
'98 LS1 28lb injectors
Walbro 255lph intank fuel pump
Nitto NT 555R 245/50/16 Drag Radials
Nitrous Express Wet Kit (50-150)

Suspension:

SLP John Aims Lowering Package
SLP STB

Now for the times: (All times on a 75 shot)

Run # 1 (About 1050psi)
60' ..... 2.070
1/4 ..... 13.170
MPH ..... 106.96

Run # 2 (About 950psi)
60' ..... 1.904
1/4 ..... 13.018
MPH ..... 106.23

Run # 3 (About 1150psi)
60' ..... 1.964
1/4 ..... 13.233
MPH ..... 104.72

Run # 4 (About 1075psi)
60' ..... 1.911
1/4 ..... 13.083
MPH ..... 105.37

I was a little dissapointed, I was hoping to be in the 12's on a 75 shot. I think I would have made it if I just got one more run. I'm gonna try to go again on Friday, or some time next week. So what do you think of the times?

Oh yeah, stock programming.

Your first 60' time was not so good, but the others were pretty good.. Ya need to pull a 1.8 60's to hit your goal... You have a lot against you right now aka weather.

What was your tires PSI, Was the car stripped of had all the interior and Sub box? How much fuel did you have?

Overall your knocking on 12's door.. Come November you'll run it all day long.... Come January you might hit even better like 12.01 with traction...

Good job man...some people think that the NX 75 jet's are mis calibrated..go to the 100 pill's and you will see what i mean..there will be a substantial difference Good luck though bro and don't be dissapointed...I heard you where having problems with your converter or something a while back..have you been on the dyno to check for KR and to monitor your A/F? I would do that with auto tap and then send the log to someone you trust or to brian at PCMforless...everyone know's OBD-1 car's dont get along to well with converter's most of the time, but there are acceptions i guess too...also if you dont have the 1LE intake elbow and the nozzle is plummed before the baffle there lies a problem.."SOME" people have reported that their N20 and fuel is puddling in the stock intake baffle and therefore not getting full atomazation...but im guessing you have the 1le or atleast the pert plus bottle Not bad though man...try out the 100 shot on friday though and you will be damn sure in the 12's...if you need to shoot me an E-mail..I have NX jet's all the way up to 175 lol..Later,

Carter

I was very dissapointed in my 60's, because I was pulling 1.8xx 60's on street tires, I was hoping for atleast 1.7's on Drag Radials. Tires were as falloes for the runs: 28psi ... 25psi ... 20psi ... 18psi

You know me.... I run with everything in my car, lol... Full interior, amps, subs/sub box, tools, and my school stuff, lol.

Carter,
I have pills for up to 150, I wanted to run the 100 shot last night, but I need the NX 52 pill for the nitrous side of the nozel, I think Gary is going to get me one from the shop. Yes I have the 1LE elbow. But I need to get a solid elbow, or Gary said something about using MAF Ends? But either way I need a new elbow, mine is ripping.

A couple of options:

1. The tires are not heated up enough
2. Incorrect PSI
3. Might want to look into some track bite to prep your tires

See with my street tires I pulled 2.3 and 2.4 60 foot times... AGH...

heck ...get a cutout for that flowmaster and you'll pick up that last tenth.

from everything i've read the FM are the most restrictive of the cat backs (relative to others that is).

How new are your drag radials? DR's need a couple of heat cycles (burnout hard and left to sit at least overnight) to get them to hook well. If this was the first time at the track with these DRs you could be ginving up a lot of 60' time. If that's the case i would expect the DRs to hook better this Friday.

Later ... Larry S.
