I like the idea of the Dodge, that would be a better application. But to compare a stik Camaro to the Stik Dodge...Apples and Oranges. And so true about the Cummins as pretty much any diesel all you gotta do is just ease the clutch out and your movin.
I'm looking into the new Hemi thou
As far as my opinion though,I kinda feel like SFB767.These cars arent made for the application.Sure it can work. But the suspension is all wrong for towing. As in emergency situations,if you have to brake abruptly w/ a zig or zag.A flat tire whatever.Your toast.Even 1500lbs. being pulled in that situation is going to work that car over,it'd be in control not you. Backing down the ramp even with light tongue weight because of incline combined with brakeing that nose is gonna lift, tires are going to lose traction/lock up in front rear may follow suit.
Maybe traction mods help squat and Air shocks maybe a brake proportioning valve,a 6000lb.winch and some pontoons maybe
Look for a "Hidden Hitch" brand as opposed to a "Draw-Tie" brand.
I had a HH on my TA with Borla exhaust. When I removed the draw bar, you couldn't tell there was a hitch on the car.
Also, if you have after market cat-back on the car, some hitch systems won't work because of interferences ...
I pulled an AX trailer that had 800-1000 lbs fully laden for miles and miles ... sometimes at speeds above those posted! No problems, other than occasionally bottoming out the rear suspension ...
I have an M6 and got 60K miles out of the stock clutch ....

Does you insurance cover your car sliding and going underwater? Too much power to the wheels on a wet ramp and with wide tires......I can see it now: Fishtail right, fishtail left, right again, and slide right into the water.
Why the hell would you tow anything with a camaro? or trans am? That's what trucks and suvs are for.
