WEIRD!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!! Please read...

Hey guys. This COULD be my imagination, but my girlfriend agrees. I just finished my header install last weekend. Yesterday, I was driving to work, and scraped on a sh*tty road repair. Now, my car seems to drive fine, haven't jacked it up YET, but it doesn't have the mean sound to it that it did before I scraped. Sounds like it did before I put my headers on. I'm gonna check it out this weekend, but any thoughts as to what could've happened? You know what I should check? What to look for? Please post, thanks.

Well, the first thing I'd look for is any serious dents in the header tubes or exhaust pipes. I'm not exactly sure how much a dent would change an exhaust note. I'd guess that it would have to be a fairly serious dent.

Like said, it would have to be a really decent sized dent to change your exhaust note. For your sake, I'm hoping it's your imagination. Otherwise you're gonna be shelling out some $$$.

Headers look/feel fine. Is there any way that an exhaust leak can make the car quieter? I figured it'd make it louder if anything. It is weird. I listen to the car, and it sounds good, then almost seems to get to be a quieter and quieter sound. HOPEFULLY it's just me, and I'm just expecting too much sound from my Corsa. HOPEFULLY

Check for any exhaust leaks around the header gaskets, exhaust pipe connections, etc. If you find nothing, then don't worry about it.
