i have a 1998 z...... 40,000 mi and i just had my trany rebuilt and clutch changed...... now i have a vibration in the car but i took it back to the shop and they said it wasnt the trany because it did it when they took it out...... anybody got an idea what it is.....
i have a filling it is the harmonic balancer........ ???????????


also i am looking for a ss hood for my car..... i would love a black one, but you cant be picky........... anyone selling one.....

Any possibility the flywheel is now out of balance ??

Or, a clutch assembly out of balance ??

These are both fairly heavy items & could certainly cause a vibration, although if it where the flywheel it would occur anytime the engine was running.

Random thoughts - hope they help.

It might also be a driveshaft out of balance. If it was dented or dropped. Pinion angle maybe if you have an adjustable torque arm and it has been misadjusted? Just a couple more suggestions.

 

thats is just it...... the fly wheel was off and transmission was out when they checked it also..... they turned it on and said it was still vibrating at the engine..... the transmission was eliminated though...... but those are good ideas..... anymore...?????????????????????????
