URGENT HELP NEEDED!! -- Lower Control Arms

I just finished installing a set of BMR poly/poly tubular control arms. At the end, it says to apply 1 shot of grease in each fitting. I tried that with the grease gun I have, but it just gobbed the grease all around it and it didn't seem to go through anything.

Are the little bronze ends just caps or are they the actual fittings? Do you need a special grease gun to do it? What's the trick?

Sounds like you did it right. What you're talking about is called a zerk fitting for the grease. The grease will go around the outside of the poly bushing. It lubes the bushing inside the metal arm. You'll probably want more than just one squirt of grease though, the control arms are prone to squeaking if not lubed well enough. You'll be able to see the grease work around the bushing and it'll squeeze out the sides but that's fine.

The trick was to coat the inside of the bushing, and the bolt shaft with pure silicone, or marine grease before installing the LCA's.

I hope you used "Synthetic" grease when you applied the grease through the zerk fitting. Petrolium base grease will eventually eat up the poly bushing.

The bolts should be torqued again after about 100 miles to 75 lbs. torque to nuts.

No you can just use a regular old grease gun as long as the fittings are the same size. Make sure that you have the gun all the way on the fittings it might take a little force to get it on there. Also make sure your zerk fittings aren't mushroomed, this happened to mine on the install and I had to get new ones.
