Underdrive pulleys

I know for most bolt on's underdrives don't do much for the cost of the pulley, but someone told me with a cam you could really pick up 10-15 RWHP what you guys think?

i can't see why it would make a difference, it's not like the engine is spinning any faster...

the ud pulley just slows down the accessories, meaning less drag on the engine...what does a cam have to do with that?

i'd say it's worth 10hp across the rpm band...maybe not peak...but not 15hp.

i noticed it reved up a bit faster when i put my ASP unit on

I have heard that if you put a new one on the alternator that you can see some serious charging and electronic power loss. This might not be true because it was a 95 thunderbird that it was put on but I could see it happening.

i have not got any ALT pulley installed, and i can notice absolutely no difference in the charging of the car.

now if you have a big stereo something that draws alot of power, you may notice it more.

dont waste your money, believe me you wont see 10-15 rwhp, thats what the companies use to say way back when they 1st came out in the LT1's...maybe 5 hp at best, save your money for some long tubes

On an LT1 you will be lucky to see 1 rwhp. On an LS1 you will see 6-7 rwhp.
