New bone stock 2000 SS times

I made it back out to the track today. I ran a best of 13.53 @ 106.42 with a 2.25 60'. I'm still trying to figure out to launch this car. The LS1 is much more picky launching than my LT1 ever was. I think it's time for a lid and a cutout.

Thanks. Next time out I'm hoping for a 2.0x 60' and a 13.3-13.2. I could have launched the car harder - I was still bogging on that 2.25 60'.

Dude all you need is tires...general rule of thumb is for every tenth in the 60 is 2 in the 1/4....loose that 1/4 second and your at 13 flat...learn how to launch it with some sticky tires and youll be seeing 12.8's

I have a 98 Z. pretty much stock, look at my sig. But i have the 2:73 gears, I ran 13.6 at 103. with an auto all you need to do is punch it and not spin tires. i hooked great and still only ran 13.6. any reasons why ?? i was hoping for 13.4 or so. my 60 ft times were under 2

why mod it now? why not get the most out of it while learning to drive it better so when you do mod it you are seeing the true benefits of the mod?!?!

That's the plan. I'm not going to do any mods until I get at least a 13.3 out of it bone stock.

I applaud you as well. That's a damn good trap for bone stock. You got a sweet ride there man. Once you get that 60' down and start the bolt-ons your gonna be screaming down the track.

Good Job!

I agree w/ psychocabbage, definitely pull a 2.0x before you throw any mods at it. Great MPH though.
