#1 How much would you pay for a LID? I can't find them under $100 even on Ebay where as I heard of people paying $70 for them?

#2 What do you think is the absolute cheapest I can perform a emissions legal true dual exhaust with headers and still have quality sound? I understand removing the cats won't pass visual however when they put a sniffer on, are they seriously going to go under the car to look?

 

1- you have to keep shopping. keep an eye in the parts for sale here or post a thread that you are looking for a lid in parts wanted. e-bay still will be your best bet. just because you dont see it now, doesnt mean it will never be there again. i seen a ls1 383 stroker kit (new) for $1300 once on ebay. wish i had the money for it. seen a 12 bolt with 4k miles on it for $1k few days ago. its hit or miss. if you want to save a few bucks, you have to be patient.

2- are you talking long tube, mids, or shorty? cheapest true dual i seen was mac mid's (or pace setter lt's if they were on sale) and custom exhaust costing about $500 at a local shop. also how agressive you want the car to sound varies too.

you should be able to find some lids online for around $90-95. just check some of the sponsors from this board. off the top of my head i'd say maybe ws6store or speedinc but there are a ton of others. and like people above said, just keep checking ebay.
