has anybody used hp tuners? and are they any good? or is there a better tuner program out there cheaper??

Not bashing HP, but it locked my buddy's PCM.. He couldn't use another tuner and he was forced to buy a new PCM..

He funal tuned his with EFI live with no problems.. He gave me the EFI live but I haven't messed with it (no laptop, and I have a LOT of research and studying to do.).. They have a nice auto tune feature which HP was supposed to come out with last year..

 

how difficult is it to work with the efi tune? I mean is there a easier tune out there? besides the made z28 tunes that you have to send your pcm in? It seems extremly difficult to work with these tunes. I have basically put an air lid headers and forced air induction on my car so far, ive had spark knock with my car since i bought it with 19,000 miles and was hoping that these tunes would be able to get rid of my spark knock. plus was hoping to cam it someday. just looking for the best tune out there any help would be appreciated. thanks
