5.3 literv-8
some of the older chevys had 327's. I'm not sure what you're getting at really, I've heard horror stories of people swapping in the LT1 look alike L99 4.3L (Caprice) into 4th gen camaro's/firebirds passing it off as an LT1
If you are talking about the Vortec 5.3 L that was in some of the late 90's+ Chevy/GMC trucks. I've never heard of a 5.3 swap into a 4th gen Camaro/Firebird. As most people would probably just do a LSx swap. I know I'd never put a 5.3 in my car atleast, when considering how cheap some of the LS1/LS2 crate engines are.
As for the LS4? 5.3 that's in the 06-07 Impala/Monte Carlo SS they are a pretty good engines, however it's a front wheel drive V8. They are rated about 250hp I believe.

I think some first gen cars came with 327's but I would imagine the engine you're talking about is out of a newer truck, and I think it's safe to say was never in an F-body
AS for can you make it fit, sure you can, you can cram a 350 into a Chevette if you want, it's a matter of how easy it will be. If you are looking for a new engine for your car I'd put up a 2nd vote for a LSx engine
