Tubular exhaust manifolds?
We're having a debate over at HybridZ.Com about LS1 engines that came with tubular exhaust manifolds from the factory. Could someone englighten me?
HybridZ is where we discuss putting V8s in Datsun cars, like the LS1 going in my 1972 240z.

Not sure what to tell you, when I got my car, used, I thought maybe the guy before me did shorty headers but then I found out they were factory. As far as I know they flow really well and is one of the reasons why upfront intake mods work really well on the 98-00. Makes sense to me. I've done a few of the basic mods, on the intake side, and my numbers are kickin. Its also the reason guys with newer 01-02s get really good results from long tube headers, since the flow on the intake side is really good due to the LS6 intake, etc. but their stock cast iron manifolds are terrible.
