True Dual..what is the cheapest route
True Dual..what is the cheapest route
I really want to get true duals on my SS but don't have lots of dough. Lanes quoted me some sick numbers on the price of a true duel.
I know some guys are running different X and H-pipes and just wondering if there was a budget minded set up out there?
I have ordered pacesetter headers, so what next.....by the way anyone have dyno numbers on PS longtubes?

summit racing has an x pipe set up. Check it out.
Could always just go and get some pipes bent. No they won't look as good as the mandrel bent systems, but they'll still flow better than catbacks.
Besides, I've never seen any solid #'s about how much more mandrel pipes have over pressure bent pipes of the same size. If it was really THAT big of a difference, don't you think the manufacturers would publish it? All the numbers I ever see are the smaller stock pipes vs larger diameter aftermarket ones.
Just some food for thought.

i suggest checking every muffler shop near you
i think they can do it pretty cheap if you find a good one
also, to save some money, you might want to dump them before the rear axle
it will be plenty loud in the cabin but, atleast you saved some money, right?

We rigged up a set of non-mandrel bent 3" true duals, with an X-pipe fabed into it, for my son's 99 Z28.We used a pair of cheap bullet mufflers dumped in front of the rear axle. Total cost including labor was $180. It sounds wonderful and he is running 11s with it so it must work ok.
