? on true dual exhaust

i am thinking of doing a true dual exhaust setup but have a couple questions. do you need/have to run a balance pipe? if so the "X" or "I" setup. now the sound. i have an exhaust cut-out before the axle and O2simms. i love the sound but the interior noise is alittle much. i want it to sound the same...i just want it out the back away from my poor ears. for the tips, i have the dual/dual setup and was wondering if the sound will be deeper/powerful with the stock tips or 3.5in tips on each side. thanks for the help guys!

Run the X-pipe.

I went from the same setup you have to my current true dual 2.5" exhaust. The true duals are a bit louder when floored, but in the car it is defineatly quiter. Unfortuneatly getting true duals to exit the rear of the car is damn hard. Mine stop at my rear axle just like 99.9% of the people that run true duals. You can have the true duals exit the rear of the car but it isn't easy to do. You either have to pass a pipe on each side under your rear axle which will kill your ground clearance, and now your exhaust is hanging really low. Or you can pass both exhaust pipes over the rear axle on the passenger side, there is no room on the driver side. By doing this your exhaust is going to bang on the body of the car every once in a while since there isn't much room.
