Took my car to the shop.

My 1996 z28 camaro has mis fire so after changing the Opti I decided to have a shop diagnose the problam.I told the machanic I changed the cam and put a cloyes dubble roller timing chain on.The machanic told me that I needed to degree the cam and put a stock timing chain on because the crankshaft sensor is not reading the cam shaft sensor correctly. They said they would do it for $700.I think they are full of **** from what I know the crankshaft sensor only detects mis fire It has nothing to do with the way the motor runs. They say I need the crank sensor and It can't be tuned out but from what I have learned with a cloyes dubble roller chain In order to get the ses light to go off you need to tune it out.I think they were trying to screw my so I just toled them to give me my keys and I took off. What do you guys think?

He had double posted this in here and I moved one post for him and figured that I'd just let this one die and fall off the page.

But I see that won't work so I'll have to kill it myself.
