Re: Tips for header install

all the tips and tricks i have are on my install page for LTs...

page 11 of the website in my sig

the one HUGE suggestion....install poly motor mounts while everytihng is out! MUCH EASIER and will virtually eliminate clearance problems!

Re: Tips for header install

Lay a straight edge across them and make sure the mating surface is level.(where it bolts on to the exhaust ports)

I had this problem with my flowtechs and had to send them back. If yours are off too much they could leak. They are probably fine just check them.

I would also suggest going with long tubes. It is a lot easier and cheaper to install different types of exhaust systems on them compared to mid lengths. Such as a rumbler x true dual system which will bolt right up to pace setters and jet hot headers. Long tubes also produce better numbers and you will have no clearance issues unless you buy slp long tubes.

One more question: If I install this and after I will be setting off the SES light, this wont affect anything at all right? The reason I say this is because a couple days or so after I will be sending in my pcm to get reprogramed.

removing the AIR and EGR and the cats will have no effect on the running condition of the car in any way (other than louder).

you'll be fine till the reprogram
