Ok this is what happen. I saw a set of heads on ebay and went ahead and bid on them. The description was from the texas-speed site and it said 5.3l 220cc heads. Anyways I went ahead and bid on them. The ending bid was 1000.00. 500 less then brand new. I got them today and they are 241 casting... The springs have a blue line. They are "suppose" to be good for
.650 lift. Im so pissed im ready to grab a flight to where they came from and kill someone... I was literaly shaking cause i was so pissed... The ebayer has 30 total feedback 100% positive. I hope this is a misundestanding and that im just an idiot. Here are some pics. anyone with ideas please help.

 

I would be contacting paypal and disputing it with them. If the heads aren't what they were described to be then that's an illegal sale.

 

I got in contact with the seller and he says they were stock and he got them ported by PRC. He said he can guarantee they flow like said on ebay. Im want to trust him because he does have 100% positive feedback. I might get them flow tested.

 

But they aren't 5.3 heads and don't have good dual valve springs. They are not what he advertised.

 

Dispute it and buy them directly from TSP.

PRC 2.5L 5.3 heads are $1,209 LIST, they were on sale a week ago (still might be) for $1,137.00.

You could have sent your 241 heads out to be ported by TSP I think for like 600 bucks tops. Don't take those.

 

Have you tried to contact Texas Speed? They are a good operation, and it may have been a mistake on their part.

I wouldn't go the dispute route until you contact them first.

 

Those look like comp 921 springs, good for 650 lift when new. Definitely not 5.3 heads though. Yuu probably paid about $400 too much for used 241's in my opinion. You can get new, ported 243's for a little more than what you spent.

edit: I think it was a 918 spring. Either way, base comp single spring.

 

Yeah he emailed me today saying that he swears up and down that he sent them to prc to be ported to the 5.3l specs from thunder racing. Im looking at them next to mine and looking inside and I honestly dont see a difference at all. His are alittle cleaner and one has 220 written on the side, but i cant see a diff at all. does factory springs come with a blue strip also? please answer back. I might go ahead and send them back.

 

I thought the factory springs had a yellow one. I am pretty sure those are Comps. Tell him to cough up a receipt.

Usually you can tell if they have been ported. I would call bull**** on the "5.3 220 heads". Those just plain aren't 5.3 heads.

I would send them back and get your money back. He sold you something other than what he advertised. Just because he has 100% feed back means nothing. I've been screwed over by people on ebay with 100%. I'd get on it right away. Don't get screwed like I did, I was buying some new tail lights for 100 bucks and the guy never sent them, he kept b.s.ing me saying that the ones were defective so he was getting me different ones. By the time I tried to dispute it, it was too late paypal has a 60 day deadline for disputes I think, and then they won't help you. I'd give the guy some bad feedback and send those heads back.

Well he said that he will get the papers monday. He said they have been milled and sh*t. Ill see the papers on monday... Ill be working on the maro till next weekend anyhow.

 

You're missing the point here, you didn't purchase what was advertised. Seems like you don't care, wait until monday and i guarantee this guy is going to have another excuse, oh well it's your money. If you needed 241 heads that bad i would of given you mine for free and you could have them ported for half the price.

If you do not dispute this, i will catch a plane to where ever the hell you are, kick you in the *****, and then get on your computer and dispute it for you....

 

Now did he say he was selling 5.3 heads or heads ported with the same program as the TR 5.3s? Porting 241s with a known 5.3 cnc program does not make them the same as 5.3s because of the chamber size.
