Post Theft Deterrent

Hey,
I am getting increasingly paranoid about the safety of my Z28 and was thinking adding on some extra theft deterrent system but I have no idea where to start. I was thinking about a hood lock and maybe a steering wheel lock or a one of those brake and accelerator locks. What do u guys recommend?

Lojack is a good system but it is a recovery system. I want something that will prevent the car from being stolen. Lojack would be nice as a secondary system. Also i think lojack is only good in 18 states i travel to Indiana a lot and i think it does not work there.

Sure.... But to you have GAP insurace?? Otherwise you end up paying the difference of what the car is worth and what they give you for it.

As for theft deterance. I guess anything from Code Alarm or Clifford would get my vote.. But I do hear that the club is a damn good value for the $20...

hawaii- the car thief capitol of the U.S.

some folks run up to three alarms in their cars-- hidden in diff. places w/diff. power sources!

I use a brake lock, the autolock pro. it keeps your brake from being depressed, and sometimes i turn the wheels one way either left or right and then make sure the steering wheel locks...thieves also tow cars away and this makes it harder.

I would go with Clifford, as for the club it may be a great visual deterrent but it's only gonna last about 10 seconds after your steering wheel gets cut.

Clifford has so many diffrent alarm systems, which one is the best value. Also is it a good thing to buy a hood lock with the system.
