Take my poll and help me choose

I have narrowed my muffler choice down to 5 mufflers. Please help me choose what one to get.
Thanks

No to flowmaster.

I voted Dynomax.

If you're only talking mufflers, I'd say it depends on what you want. If you want performance, go with the Dynomax (what I voted for). I am not 100% sure, but of your 5 choices, I believe they FLOW the best.

If you want sound, I'd say no muffler.
If you want sound and do want to replace the muffler, I'd say one of the flowmasters.
However, if you wan't sound and performance, I'd say Borla or the SLP loudmouth. Just keep in mind that this is my opinion and what my ears like, yours may not.

IIRC unless you're going to run true duals or a total single set up you can't run the 40 and 50 series frowmasters. They are both single in single out designs. The only diff between the 2 is do you want 2 chamber or 3? If you're going transverse, 80 series is your only Flowmaster choice.

As for flow, Dynomax won't flow any better than spintech in the transverse set up. For the price, you could probably get a stainless Ultra flow for the cost of a spintech.

you can run a single out.. In fact, its better than a false dual setup.

I would rather have a simple straight shot. 2 pipes out the rear are worthless unless its a true dual setup.

I would say dynomax but i havent been totally steered away from the flows.. like the muffler the force II uses.. I forget the series but its not bad. I picked up quite a bit on my LT1 with it.

thanks for the input. I'm actually after sound. I have a great flowing muffler now in the hooker but it's too quiet. I want loud but not loud enough to attract the cops attention which is what worries me with the loudmouth. Wondering how loud the dynomax is?

The Dynomax Ultraflow will sound like a Maganflow, they're the same design.

I have yet to hear any transverse mufflers that sound very loud. Just get a cutout. If you want more sound, open it.

Generally dynomax has better gains then flowmasters and they are in the same price range.

Yep, the flowmaster 80's got a nice deep rumble to it, and softens out in the higher rev ranges. Recommend it for sound quality.
