BCM replacing procedure

TO resume the story I just got the car it's an 98 Z28. The alarm goes off by itself and I bring it to the dealer. He removes a neat feature of the alarm and gives it back to me. The shock sensor works fine but that neat feature involves the BCM (body control module). Long story short is if I wanted to replace that unit how much would I be looking at and how would I do so.

Thx in advance,
Simon

Body Control Module is not "advanced tech". Generation specific questions should be posted on the appropriate "tech" forum... in this case "LS1 Tech". Moving it there......
